Lost Alaskan - '94

Lost Alaskan - ’94

By Gideon Jones

The weatherman said "when you get out of bed
You’ll be facing fog, rain and snow"
Oh well - what the hay - we went anyway
"Lost Alaskan" spells FUN - don’t you know?

Now David did lead on the dashing blue steed
And Joyce on the "Yellow Canary"
And so not to lag - we put Angie in "Drag"
On Fontenot’s "Cajun Wineberry"

For Hunts’, Jones’ and Andy - The "Rockin Chairs" Dandy
"We’re Off’ to Alamo City
Seven Hondas at cruise - like you’d lighted a fuse
No Harleys, No Beamers, - A Pity

"Lost" is the key - as we shall soon see
(I erred at one crucial turn)
"Alaskan" refers to the temperature "Brrr’s"
And so the run’s name - (it’s well earned)

Tequila was flowing and Carol was glowing
The music and wine had effect
She said if she’s able to get on the table
She’d dance the Fandango - by heck

Now San Antone’s pride is the quaint trolley ride
The crowd was subdued as we boarded
We left them in stitches, they ner ripped their britches
With war whoops and whistles, we parted

Now Rollers ain’t sane - cause they ride in the rain
And go where the winding trail takes us
Say you’re going where? And you say "it’s a Dare?"
THEN HELL! I’LL MEET YOU THERE FOR BREAKFAST!!

The End
